Phil Newhouse and Italian Partisans preparing for a group photograph. Phil Newhouse was taken in by the Italian Partisans after his B-25 was downed over northern Italy. He worked with the Partisans to create an airstrip and airdrop location used by the British military during the war. The photograph was taken by an English RAF Captain who tracked down Mr. Newhouse after the war and mailed him copies of the photos he’d taken of the group. The Partisans in the photo are unidentified; Phil Newhouse is in the back row, fifth from the left., This is a digital image, the original was returned to the donor after scanning.
