Lincoln Park Playground Reopening

On November 12th, Corona City Council, Parks & Recreation Commission, and Parks Foundation officially opened the Lincoln Park Inclusive Playground with a social distancing ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The inclusive playground is the first of its kind in Corona and was made possible thanks to a matched funding grant from Kompan, Inc. and the Corona Parks Foundation.
 
What is an inclusive playground? Inclusive playgrounds are designed to provide a safe place where children of all abilities can play together and are developmentally appropriate for children with and without disabilities. An inclusive playground takes away the barriers to exclusion, both physical and social, providing a “sensory-rich” experience for all., Description provided by Jason Lass, Recreation Services Manager.
