Corona Women's Victory Service Flag

Corona Women's Victory Service flag created in honor of local men and women who served during World War II. The flag features the post number 1005 at the top, a cross composed of 40 yellow stars, a 'V' composed of 135 white stars, flanking the 'V' are 6 yellow stars and 138 whites stars, the stars were hand stitched onto a blue cloth, and the flag is framed by a yellow border. The yellow and blue fabric are satin acetate while the numbers and stars are felt., The flag is delicate. There is a hole, evidence of repair, and discoloration along the sleeve at the top of the flag. Small stains appear on the yellow fabric and a large stain runs from top of the upper right section of the blue fabric to the bottom of the blue section. One yellow star in the cross has a black ink stain. A mild case of vinegar syndrome is noted due to the acetate in the fabric.
