This artifact collection consists of 7 large bi-facial, chipped, flint blanks. There age is uncertain. Their possible c. is 2000 years ago. They are probably from the lower Ohio Valley. These blanks were rough chipped ax at a quarry and later finished into knives, projectiles, points and other tools. The measurement of these flint blanks in inches is as follows: (A) 4.5 x 4; (B) 4 7/8 x 4; (C) 3 5/8 x 3 1/4; (D) 4 1/8 x 3 1/2; (E) 3 3/4 x 3 3/4; (F) 5 3/4 x 3 1/4; (G) 6 x 3. |
