Choppers - Stone (Flint)

This artifact collection consists of 5 large bi-facial "choppers" from Arizona c. 6,000 - 8,000 B.C.  These "choppers" were sometimes called "hand axes."  They were multi-purpose tools used in butchering game and preparing skins.  CONDITION:  Adhesive (glue) and red fabric is attached to the back of artifacts (A-C).  The measurement of each "chopper" is as follows:  (A) 4.25" x 2.25"; (B) 4.5" x 2 3/8"; (C) 4" x 2.25"; (D) 3.75" x 2.25"; (E) 3.5" x 2."
