Map - 1887 - Tin Mines Townsite - ?ADENA

This map is of the area (2002 Thomas Guide, p. 774, AB5, and AB6) south of Cajalco Rd. and straddles Temescal Canyon Rd (Proposed P.E.R.R tracks on the original map). Due to damage to this map the full title is not present, but the last 5 letters appear to be ADENA. The name Pasadena does appear on a file filder that this map was in, but no supporting evidence for the name. On Nov. 8, 1888, George L. Joy recorded this 160 acre site as the Tin Mines Townsite in the San Bernardino County Map Book 7 on p. 35. The tin mines never amounted to anything, the proposed hotel was never built, and rail service did not arrive until 1927. The project actually died at birth. - MEASUREMENTS: 18 1/2" x 18 3/4" - CONDITION: Very poor, pieces missing and the map is deteriorating. The map parts present are fully legible. This map is in a Mylar sleeve - COPIES: 1 - MAP ORIENTATION: Top is NORTH
