Modern Plains Indians depicts and Indian on a horse with a bow and arrow bringing down a buffalo. HISTORICAL INFORMATION on the BACK: Moden Plains Indians were able to increase their standard of living by using the horse and bow and arrow. The buffalo hunter held a second arrow in his mouth so that it would be readily available for rapid fire in order to bring the animal down.
