The top headline reads: Scrivener Friend Denies Owning Death Tie. This is a continuation of a death some three years previous. Much of the text on the second page relates to the next headline: Byrd Flies To Pole and Back. This is in reference to the avaiation accomplishments of Commander Richard E. Byrd, the first person to fly over both poles. The two pages of this newspaper also carry other national and local news, but little in the way of local advertising.
